Lizzo is an awesome artist who probably falls into the genre known as alternative hip hop. She is a big black woman and she is proud of her identity. While she is rising in the ranks of stardom her music has become more and more popular with each day that passes, and now her songs are getting regular air time. One song in particular is simply known as Phone and we have to wonder if it is actually about Lizzo’s desire to chat on a phone dating hotline! In the song she laments that she is out at the club and it’s pretty late and she can’t find her phone. She can’t find her friends so she starts to walk home in her fancy Louboutin shoes. However, if you really think about it, you could speculate that Lizzo is kind of lonely and wants some lovin’ late at night, at least that’s how we would feel if we lost our phone late at night!
So at the end of the song Lizzo discovers that her phone was in her hand the whole time so now she is free to make new phone friends on the dating line. This is a great song and the video is pretty fun too. It just goes to show that everyone loves a good phone dating hotline and they want to call it at every hour of the day, even when it is late at night and they are walking home from the club with sore feet from sexy shoes!
