If you see NS written somewhere online about someone, or if someone says on a dating chat line that they are NS, they are referring to the fact that they are a non-smoker. They don’t partake in the habit of cigarettes, which some people who don’t smoke would be glad about. If you’re not a smoker, meeting a date who is a smoker can be bothersome because it smells and when you kiss them, they will taste like cigarettes, so knowing whether or not your date is a smoker or not is pretty important. If you are a smoker, then you won’t mind that your date will want to light up, and you’ll probably want to join them, but if you’re not, then an NS is your dream.
