Back in the day many people used to chat online and they didn’t know much about each other, so they would type the acronym ASL which means they would be asking the other person about their age, sex and location. If someone says ASL to you on one of Talk121’s online chats or over the phone line, then you will know they want to know how old you are, whether you’re a boy or a girl, and where you are located. It’s kind of an outdated term these days because Talk121 takes a lot of that guess work out for you. You will already know the general geographical area where someone lives, and their gender!
